1063 Western Avenue Senior Housing
West Brattleboro, VT
Project consists of conversion of the three-story, approximately 22,000 square foot portion of this former office building into 21 apartments for elderly living. Work will include expansion of the first floor footprint of the structure, and significant interior and envelope changes, along with reworking of mechanical and electrical systems.

38 Branches Throughout New Hampshire
This project will facilitate changes for TD Bank’s new branding and branch facilities layout in 38 branches. Scope of work includes sitework, exterior lighting and signage, and façade renovations. Interior renovations include flooring, walls, ceilings, a new “user friendly” open layout, millwork, check desks, teller lines and back counters, penny arcades, power walls with signage and Muzac.

Baystate Health Genetics/Immunology/Molecular Laboratory Renovation
Portsmouth, NH
The project involved development of approximately 10,200 sf of available space within the building at 361 Whitney Avenue in Holyoke Massachusetts as a Genetics, Immunology and Molecular (G/I/M) Laboratory for Baystate Health. The project scope involved demolition of existing drywall partitions and ceilings, limited site work to connect utilities outside of the building, saw-cutting the slab to accommodate plumbing, installation of new metal stud/drywall partitions and doors, installation of new cabinetry/counters, lockers and limited specialties (soap and towels) at sink locations. Mechanical work was design/build and was provided by Baystate Health’s own contractor. The electrical scope was design/build under this contract. Electrical scope involved running service lines from the mechanical room to the subject work area, installation of lights, outlets and data ports, wiring of automatic smoke shutters at a few locations and installation and wiring of life safety devices. Under a previous project, the owner had installed three (3) large conduits in the ceilings to facilitate running electrical lines from the service room to the subject work area.

New construction of 15,725 sf 6-bay State of the Art LEED Silver Fire Station. New Two Story Facility includes six apparatus bays, training tower and training auditorium, offices, men’s and women’s living quarters, exercise and locker rooms, Emergency Operations Center, storage and fire pole.

Baybutt Construction serves as the program manager for this multi-phased project, which began in September 2006 with design and permitting. Construction started with the conversion/renovation of a Kelton Street house into the construction Site Office/Operations Center, the house which will eventually become the NVTRC management office. The Rehabilitation Center is situated on twelve acres of land donated by Mount Wachusett Community College. The facilities of the College are open to the veterans and their families. The College has extended free access to veterans and their family members to the full curriculum of College level classes. The College Day Care Center will be available at no cost to the families. The Heywood Hospital, located directly across the street from the NVTRC facility, will be part of the services available to the NVTRC program. The Veterans and families will be housed in separate living quarters located on the Project grounds. These cottages will be approximately 1000 sq ft with two bedrooms, bath, kitchen and living area. The cottage concept will allow the clients to practice their living skills and provide privacy for both the veteran and his/ her family. This project will achieve LEED Silver certification.

Baybutt Construction is the general contractor expanding and renovating the Keene Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Keene. The project involves sitework to include an expanded parking lot with turnaround and landscaping, new handicapped accessible sidewalks/ramps and new fencing around perimeter and storage. The 5300 sf addition will provide ADA compliant bathrooms, offices and meeting rooms, full-service kitchen as well as a new multi-purpose gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, etc. Extensive renovations will also be done to address new entry vestibules, mechanical system upgrades, new flooring and finishes, renovated restroom area, church pew upholstery and miscellaneous renovations to existing spaces. The architectural firm is Warnick Associates, Inc of Salem, NH. Baybutt is underway on this $1.7 million project, which is scheduled to be completed this June.

Springfield Elm Hill Elementary School
Renovation & Addition
Springfield, VT
This project includes extensive site work, three additions totaling 9,000 sf and comprehensive 16,000 sf renovation to existing school. Site work will include all new drainage, parking lots, paving, landscaping.
There will be three additions- one to house the music and arts room and library/media center. Second addition will house Guidance and administrative, nurses office, occupational and physical therapy rooms. Third addition is a new front entrance will include secure vestibule, new physical education office and storage space.The multi-purpose room will be completely renovated with a new wood gym floor. Kitchen also will undergo renovation to include new kitchen equipment. Rest of building will receive new heating, lighting, ventilation, and all new finishes. The existing building will be completely abated of all hazardous materials including lead and asbestos. New plumbing/fixtures will be installed in all bathrooms. Exterior work will include a new pitched shingle roof and new masonry and Hardiplank façade on certain elevations.

This project includes extensive site work, comprehensive 21,000 sf renovation to existing school and a 15,000 sf addition. Site work will include new utilities, new drainage, newly paved parking lots and drop-off areas and landscaping. Renovation work will include new plumbing and HVAC, all new electrical, complete refurbishing of the existing interior space to include eight classrooms, administration, multi-purpose room and stage, mental health, nurse’s office, behavioral planning, teachers planning.
The 15,000 sf addition includes new art/music classroom with acoustical practice rooms and storage; new media center; new occupational/physical therapy space; new tech computer lab; teachers’ planning space, six new classrooms and a new elevator. Also included in this project is a new shingled gable roof, new masonry and hardy-plank exterior curtain wall, new energy efficient windows and insulation, new doors and hardware and new interior millwork and casework.
