The Thayer Renovation/Expansion has been a great challenge! Baybutt
Construction has been committed to the Thayer project at all times
during the years that the project was held up by a lawsuit and continued
their commitment as the plans changed and were scaled back. The
CM team worked very hard with school district representatives and
Banwell Architects to successfully maintain an extremely tight budget
for this project. Since the beginning of the process, Baybutt has
been actively involved in providing the school board and the community
with information about what would be built, renovated and completed

been a pleasure to work with Baybutt Construction on the Thayer
School Addition and Renovation project. While my involvement with
the project doesn't extend as far back as Baybutt's, it did pick
up at the construction document phase of a much larger-scope project
in 2001. When the dust finally settled on the budget for the job,
in early 2003, Baybutt's project manager was instrumental in fine-tuning
the scope to align with the budget, which helped focus the efforts
of our A&E design team. Construction documents took longer than
anticipated, compressing and complicating the construction schedule,
but the project manager maintained a "Can Do" attitude
and made necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. Baybutt
has done an excellent job of coordinating this project and creating
a team atmosphere among the Owner/User and Subcontractor groups.
